Rental terms

Below are the rules of the rental. Read them before booking to know exactly what the price includes and what you are responsible for. The terms are based on the general rental terms of Suomen Autovuokraamojen liitto ry.

1

Who can rent

The agreement is made between Ri-Lease Auto Center Oy and the person who signs the agreement (or the company they represent). The renter must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving licence, at least one year of driving experience and sufficient driving skills for the conditions.

2

Handover of the car

The car is handed over at the agreed time and place in roadworthy condition. Check the car before leaving and report any damage or defects to our staff immediately.

3

Renter’s responsibilities

The car must be used carefully and in accordance with traffic rules for the purpose for which it was rented. Fuel, parking, road and penalty fees during the rental are paid by the renter. Smoking in the car or transporting a pet without protection may result in a cleaning fee.

4

Kilometres and refuelling

Every rental day includes 50 km in Finland, and driving beyond that costs 0.20 €/km. Return the car with a full tank – for a partly empty tank we charge the fuel plus 50 €. The correct fuel is marked in the car, and damage caused by the wrong fuel is the renter’s responsibility.

5

Insurance and excess

The cars have If motor liability insurance as well as elk, fire, theft and collision cover. The renter is liable for damage and downtime costs during the rental up to the excess, at most 1,600 € per damage. For an extra 20 € the excess is reduced to 800 €.

6

Roadside assistance

If Autoapu roadside assistance (010 503 2001) is on duty around the clock. It helps with technical faults, flat tyres, battery problems and running out of fuel, and arranges towing, a replacement car or accommodation when needed.

7

If damage occurs

Report the damage to Ri-Lease immediately. If other parties are involved in a collision, also call the police. The renter fills in a damage report and acts so that the damage does not get worse.

8

Cancellation

A booking can be cancelled free of charge when there are at least 7 days until the start of the rental. Later cancellations are considered case by case and may incur costs.

9

Return and late return

Return the car to the agreed place at the agreed time. If it looks like you will be late, call the office right away, as the car may have a next renter. Being less than 15 minutes late usually costs nothing. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, we charge 150 €.

10

Payment

The rent is paid when the car is picked up, by card. Companies can also pay by invoice. We do not accept cash due to insurance terms. If there is a payment default record, we collect a 600 € deposit, which is refunded.

11

Driving abroad

Taking the car outside Finland requires an export permit, a Green Card and the technical part of the registration certificate. Agree on this with our staff in good time.

12

Equipment

Every car has a roadside assistance card, a snow brush and a parking disc. A lost small accessory costs 15 € and a lost hand truck 150 €. Hand trucks, straps and other accessories can be rented at the office.

13

General terms and disputes

The terms are based on the general rental terms of Suomen Autovuokraamojen liitto ry. Disputes are first settled by negotiation, and Finnish law applies to the agreement.
